Rueben Lifuka

Rueben Lifuka is a Zambian professional, an anti-corruption researcher and activist, who has been involved in the anti-corruption movement for the last 25 years. He served as Vice Chair of the global board of Transparency International between 2017 and 2023. Before that he served as an ordinary member of the Board and Chapter President of Transparency International Zambia.

Rueben is currently the Chairperson of the International Anti-Corruption Conference (IACC). He is also a part time Country Director for Zambia for the Chandler Foundation. Additionally, Rueben runs a Governance and Environmental Management Consultancy firm – Riverine Zambia Ltd. He is a Chartered Environmentalist with the Society for the Environment UK. He holds a Master of Development Policy and Practice from the University of Cape Town and a Master of Science in Integrated Environmental Management from the University of Bath in the UK. Rueben also read for a Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) degree at the Copperbelt University in Zambia.
