Brazil

Transparency International Brazil is a leading civil society organisation working to combat corruption and promote integrity, transparency, and accountability across the public and private sectors. Through research, advocacy, and civic engagement, the organisation plays a critical role in shaping anti-corruption policies and strengthening democratic governance in Brazil.

Over the years, Transparency International Brazil has led initiatives to improve public access to information, monitor public spending, and expose corrupt practices including in infrastructure. It collaborates closely with government agencies, academia, media, and international organisations to drive reforms and foster a culture of transparency.

As part of Brazil’s 6th Open Government Action Plan (2024-2027), Transparency International Brazil and CoST – the Infrastructure Transparency Initiative formed a strategic alliance to advance transparency in infrastructure. Together, they are supporting Brazilian authorities in reviewing and strengthening transparency and public participation within federal infrastructure policies and programmes.
