Hamish is a Technical Adviser at CoST, helping partners understand different perspectives and work together to improve infrastructure outcomes. Involved with CoST since its inception, he led its early monitoring and evaluation and now provides advice, training and guidance.

A civil engineer, planner and Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers, Hamish brings over 45 years’ experience across more than 50 countries, including roles in government, international engineering and business conduct compliance. He also guest lectures on Cambridge’s MPhil in Engineering for Sustainable Development.

At home in the Scottish Borders, Hamish manages the community water supply for the village where he lives…
