As a CoST Senior Adviser, Søren strengthens links between public finance, investment and infrastructure. Working with CoST since 2016, he researched infrastructure governance in high-income countries, advised the Scottish Government on linking fiscal transparency with infrastructure governance and facilitated Mozambique’s accession to CoST.

His work has focused on how sound public finances, strong investment management, credible pipelines of investible and financially viable projects can unlock and leverage private and climate finance. Recently, this has focused on electricity-sector transparency and business integrity in infrastructure delivery and operation.

Based in Copenhagen, he has worked with the IMF, World Bank, the European Union, the UK Government’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, Chatham House and leading advisory firms. Outside work, he enjoys sea kayaking and spending time in the countryside.
