Infrastructure Transparency Index launch: Speaker profiles

 

Jim Anderson, Lead Governance Specialist, Global Governance, World Bank

James (Jim) Anderson is a Lead Governance Specialist for the World Bank’s Governance Global Practice. He began his career as a development economist in Mongolia, before focussing on governance challenges including anti-corruption and judicial reform in transition countries in central and eastern Europe. Most recently, Jim served as the Country Manager for Mongolia from 2014 through August 2018, supporting the World Bank’s programme in all fields.

 

 

David Zamora, CoST International Consultant – Indices Expert and co-author of the Manual

David Zamora is an International Consultant in governance and digital technologies. He works on a consultancy basis for the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs and the Inter-American Development Bank, and previously worked with the Center for Research and Training in Public Administration (CICAP) and INCAE Business School, Costa Rica. His focus areas include open government, digital transformation and the sustainable development goals.

 

 

Natalie Forsyuk, Deputy Minister of Infrastructure, Ukraine

Natalie Forsyuk was appointed as Deputy Minister of Infrastructure in September 2019 and has acted as an adviser to the Minister of Infrastructure for the past two years. She is a member of the World Road Association’s Performance of Transport Administration (TCA 1) Technical Committee, a role in which she promotes the value of increasing transparency, integrity and accountability in transport infrastructure. Prior to her position in government, Natalie worked as a Technical Adviser for the CoST International Secretariat and as Country Manager for CoST Ukraine. She now sits on the CoST board.

 

Elena Mondo, Senior Technical Adviser, International Budget Partnership

Elena Mondo joined the International Budget Partnership (IBP) in August 2007 as Project Coordinator for the Open Budget Initiative, a project to promote public access to budget information and accountable budget-making processes and institutions. Prior to her role at IBP, Elena worked as a consultant for the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), coordinating research on budget practices and procedures across OECD and Latin American countries.

 

 

Álvaro Zepeda, Former President and Adviser, Chamber of Construction, Guatemala

Alvaro Zepeda Herman is a Civil Engineer and Owner of Grupo Mapreco Guatemala. He is the former President of the Centre for Corporate Social Responsibility in Guatemala and the Integrarse Network for Central America and the Caribbean, both of which take a multi-stakeholder approach to promote social responsibility in industry. In addition to his former role as President of the Guatemalan Chamber of Construction, he also served as President of the regional Chamber of Construction for Central America and the Caribbean. He has been a member of CoST Guatemala’s multi-stakeholder group since 2010.

Chrik Poortman has chaired the CoST Board since 2011. In addition to his role with CoST, he is Senior Adviser/Individual Member at Transparency International, where he worked until 2010 as Director of Global Programmes. He sits on the Board for the Coalition for Integrity (C4I) which supports anti-corruption activity in the USA and he is an official civil society observer at the Trust Fund Committee of the Climate Investment Funds. Before joining Transparency International, Chrik worked in various roles at the World Bank, including as Regional Vice President for the Middle East and North Africa.
