She has more than 20 years of experience in the public sector, specifically in public management of a high level based on design, execution, monitoring, and control of institutional management, public policies, investment projects, and administration of public resources. She has an emphasis on transparency and integrity in her work.

She has held high-level management positions such as Comptroller of Economy and Public Finance of Colombia, Deputy Director of National Budget, and Undersecretary of Institutional Strengthening of Bogotá.
