Petter is CoST’s Executive Director and a global leader in infrastructure governance, with more than 40 years’ experience across the built environment and international development. Involved with CoST since its inception, he sets its overall strategy and direction and leads global partnerships, governance and operations.

Petter began his career in the construction industry before advising on post-apartheid urban development in South Africa. A recognised anti-corruption expert, he has chaired the C20 Infrastructure Working Group and serves on the OECD Anti-Corruption Leaders Hub. In 2021, he was awarded an MBE for services to engineering and international development.

Outside work, he is devoted to his young daughter, who is currently teaching him about life…
