We are delighted to launch our first CoST Assurance Week (#CoSTAssuranceWeek) from 12 – 16 November. The week offers the chance for us to delve into the assurance process – one of our four key features – and highlight how it impacts on promoting accountability, showing citizens exactly how their tax money is spent on public infrastructure.
Stay tuned next week as CoST members, CoST Ethiopia, CoST El Salvador, CoST Guatemala, CoST Afghanistan and CoST Uganda publish assurance reports from Monday through to Friday. Focussed on different sectors in infrastructure, the reports have been several months in the making, with assurance teams undertaking a rigorous assessment of the data disclosed on public infrastructure projects.
Each day we will release the reports and their key messages, highlighting core issues and areas of good practice in their respective countries. We will also be outlining the specifics of the CoST assurance process and its impact through blogs and visuals published in the week.
